In-View Testing Tuesday 2/21-Thursday 2/23.  Testing starts promptly at 8:15a.m., please make sure your child is on time!

We made it! Welcome to the first full week of school.  I so enjoyed meeting and getting to know your children this past week.  I am looking forward to a great year building our class family! 🙂

This week we will be Journeys story testing on Thursday, May 12 (reading and spelling)!  This is due to Field Day on Friday, May 13.  The Language Arts HW packet is due on Thursday!  Also, the Social Studies State project is due, Friday, May 13.

This week we will be redeeming some of our earned rewards from the Pledge-O-Meter.  Monday 4/4-no homework, side b done in class.  Tuesday 4/5-10 mins. extra recess and popsicle party.  Wednesday 4/6-FREE DRESS DAY.  Thursday 4/7-Schoolwide Blue & Gold Spirit Dress day!  Thanks so much for all your support in helping the children earn these rewards!! 🙂

This week we will be taking our Reading Story (Gloria Who Might be my Best Friend) Test on Thursday, due to the Fun Run being on Friday!  It is also a Noon Dismissal on Friday, too.  Also, be on the lookout for emails about rewards (incentives) that the children have earned because of Fun Run donations!! 🙂

This week the children will be reviewing skills for the Unit 4 Reading Assessments. Assessments will be given at the end of the week! Wednesday, March 9:  Unit 4 Writing Assessment (Narrative Writing); Thursday, March 10:  Unit 4 Reading Assessment Part 1/Phonics Assessment; Friday, March 11:  Unit 4 Reading Assessment Part 2/Revising & Editing/Spelling Assessment

Happy Spring Break! 🙂

TERRA NOVA Achievement testing is from February 28-March 4. There will be no Journeys story or Homework packet this week.  In Math, we will be finishing Side B of Saxon in class, so no homework.  The only homework is to get a good night’s rest and plenty of sleep each night for testing! Dr. Seuss’ birthday is March 2!!  The children may bring in Dr. Seuss books from home to read that day, Read Across America Day.  Also, the children will be receiving ashes on Mar. 2, Ash Wednesday! Looking forward to a great week! 🙂

For the next two weeks will be testing!  We will not be reading a Journeys story, so no Homework packet.  Due to testing, will not be attending Daily Mass on Tuesdays for the next two weeks.  Please make sure your child gets plenty of sleep, eats a healthy breakfast, and arrives to school on time! 🙂

This week we reviewing skills and spelling patterns learned in Unit 3.  Wednesday: Unit 3 Writing Assessment (Persuasive letter), Thursday: Unit 3 Reading Comprehension Part 1 & Phonics Assessments.  Friday: Unit 3 Reading Comprehension Part 2; Revising & Editing; Spelling.  Looking forward to a great week!
